Children’s dentistry: Early preventative visits help us build a relationship with your child and earn their trust. Exams, cleans, and similar procedures will become more and more routine to them as they mature, and they’ll remember their experience fondly rather than as something unpleasant. This will also help prevent them developing decay and more serious dental emergencies.
At your child’s first dental visit at Dental@Melton, you can expect us to show them around our dental office, engage with them and conduct a comprehensive oral examination once they are all settled in. We will assess for normal development, spaces between their teeth, any decay or diseases and offer tailored advice and support as needed.

Protective sealants: Your molars, or back teeth, have ridges and indentations that your toothbrush might not be able to clean. These are hence “hot spots” for tooth decay that should be protected. When your child develops those crucial first permanent molars, dental sealants can help keep those teeth from decaying and needing more complex and expensive dental treatments to address the issue.
The option for protective sealants will be discussed with you at your routine dental examination.
